What did I watch last month, you ask? Film noir, man, film noir. You can find most of what I watched here with two exceptions: I viewed The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) for our virtual Veterans Day program and the noir The Shadow on the Window (1957), which I simply didn’t get around to reviewing. (It’s not great, but it does feature a good performance from a very young pre-Leave It to Beaver Jerry Mathers.)
Although Noirvember is over, I’m not done with film noir, not by a long shot. Soon I plan to post my Film Noir Holiday Gift Guide, my New Releases in Film Noir for December, and my Best of the Year lists in several categories. So stick around!
